What is an Infrared Sauna?
An Infrared Sauna is a type of sauna that uses infrared light to generate heat. A regular sauna uses heat to warm the air, which in turn warms your body. Infrared Sauna FAQs
Sauna sessions will run for a maximum of 45 minutes. If you are not used to prolonged heat exposure please start at 15-20 minutes and increase the length of time as you are able.
The sauna can reach a maximum of 66˚C. If you are not used to prolonged heat exposure please start at a lower temperature and increase as you are able.
Loose clothing or swimmers/bathers can be worn in the sauna. Clothes must be worn throughout the entire session.
A towel must be brought to sit on in the sauna for hygiene purposes.
A water bottle (not plastic) must be brought to maintain hydration throughout the session.
If you have any foot conditions i.e. tinea, thongs/sandals must be worn in the sauna for hygiene purposes.
Dry brushes and gua shas will be provided in the sauna if you would like the extra massage and circulation.
Bluetooth is available to connect your phone to listen to music, an audiobook etc.
You are welcome to bring a book or magazine with you.
We encourage you not to bring your phone or other electronic devices into the sauna so as not to risk heat exposure. Use of electronic devices during your session is up to individual discretion however Spark Health Co will not cover the costs of any electrical damage.
It is recommended to wait 15-20 minutes after your sauna to shower.
It is highly recommended to drink at least 1 cup of water directly after your sauna and continue to remain hydrated throughout the day.
